JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Teuk Saat 1001 is a Cambodian non-profit organization created in 2007 to act as the infrastructure supporting level for « 1001 Fontaines » project in Cambodia. The project focuses on the field of drinking water. It aims at improving rural populations’ health by allowing them to meet, in a sustainable manner, their drinking water needs, by themselves and without any specific infrastructure or expertise.
Now there are 42 sites (as of Dec 31, 2010) in Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap and Pailin, i.e. more than 50.000 people drinking safe water every day. Teuk Saat 1001 is seeking 2 qualified Cambodian to fill the position of Community Facilitator to support the sites in Battambang and Siemreap Province.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work in close liaison with community leaders to promote the project
- Regular monitoring of field activities and providing organized feedback
- Training and supervising community workers
- Actively assisting implementation activities within the communities
- Collecting qualitative and quantitative data/information, report writing
- Assisting with the communities in promotion and distribution drinking water
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in economic or marketing
- Cambodian national
- At least two years experiences in the related fields
- Good English language writing and speaking, French is a plus.
- Honest and responsible attitude; committed to achieving the programmed objectives
- Willingness to work in rural areas
- Ability to analyses information, prepare plans and reports
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel and Power Point
